What can I expect if I join Martin Aitken’s graduate programme?

As an Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAS) accredited training provider and platinum members of ACCA, a Martin Aitken trainee will experience a very broad range of professional practice.

This will include: statutory audit, accountsmanagement preparation and business and personal taxation as well as developing your appreciation and understanding of the commercial dynamics that drive our clients businesses and organisations.

We believe that it is best for your development to experience as wide a variety of work across a diverse range of clients and market sectors as possible during your training programme.

You will become an integral part of our client teams and will be accountable for delivering advice and services to our clients – both internal clients i.e. other service departments and external clients: businesses, charities, trusts, families and private individuals - almost from day one.

You may find this demanding at first, but we believe that the best form of learning and development comes from experience and dealing with both the day to day demands and the strategic and overarching ambitions and objectives of our clients.

Coupled with the professional study you will undertake as you work towards achieving your professional accountancy qualification via ICAS or ACCA.
