MACO places at the vanguard of our culture, an emphasis on lifting our head above the parapet and seeing the bigger picture. For Martin Aitken & Co, Corporate Social Responsibility – or corporate citizenship – is about taking care of others; being responsible, being accountable, not only caring for our employees and our clients but caring for society as a whole, this is intrinsic to how we operate.
We select a new charity every two years (currently The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice) and our staff are fully involved in fundraising and teambuilding activities.
Recycling within the firm is now second nature and we are constantly striving to reach that elusive goal of being a paperless office!
The Sociable Side
“Boring Accountants”, not us! At Martin Aitken & Co we work hard and play hard and you will have plenty of opportunities to get to know your colleagues at one of our many social events. We have regular events such as quiz nights, bowling, charity fundraisers and other smaller ad-hoc events such as 5-a-side football, 10K runs & walking – something to suit everyone.
Positions Within Martin Aitken & Co
Annually, we look to recruit students from school, college or university to study and train for an accountancy qualification. There are different choices available to you such as the qualifications offered by AAT, ACCA and ICAS and we are fully accredited members of these schemes.
