With over 27 years’ experience in the field of business advisory, tax and audit & accounting, Mark’s clients range from start-ups to mature established businesses. Throughout his career, he has worked with clients closely on business improvement, advising on business strategy, planning, operational and profitability improvements, fund raising, tax efficiencies and savings, organisational restructuring, training and the provision of practical technical advice.

Mark's expertise spans a wide range of sectors including manufacturing, engineering, retail, technology, leisure associations, charities and pension schemes. Mark has also advised clients in the renewable energy sector advising, both commercial and community organisations, on corporate strategy, tax efficiencies, business planning and fund raising.

Prior to joining Martin Aitken & Co in September 2017, Mark was a partner at another mid-tier firm where he led their Glasgow Business Advisory team servicing a wide portfolio of clients – from start-ups up to growing and established businesses. Mark has also undertaken roles outside of professional practice and has served as Finance Director of the Dunbartonshire Chamber of Commerce and he has also been on the board of the Glasgow Nautical College.
