Strategy & Objectives
We’ll review your current strategy and objectives in relation to the purpose of the funding or grant e.g. expansion, buying a new site, plant & machinery.
Then we’ll work with you to capture the aspirations of the business owners in an investor ready business plan which will assist with the fund raising and/or grant application.
Potential for funding & grants
If you have received any grant offers in the past, we’ll look over any conditions that may have been attached to them and we’ll review the scope for future grants and/or potential funding requirement.
Quantification & Recommendation
We’ll provide you with our recommendations on the types of finance and/or business grants that are available, from both public and private sector providers. We’ll also quantify the potential level of grant assistance available to you and the case for assistance.
We will run the affordability numbers for you - cashflow and budget projections, so that if you are raising finance you can a firm idea of the potential debt repayment schedule and how you will meet any convenants or conditions attached to the finance by the lender.
Identify potential funders
We will identify potential funders and we'll instigate discussions with them. Typically, we will speak with providers of equity, debt and grant finance.
The providers will include banks, business angels, Scottish Enterprise and secondary lenders such as invoice finance and asset finance lenders. We will then work with you through the funding application process to secure the required funding
We can assist in the development of financial systems and reporting to ensure that any conditions set out by the funders are met.
This can include, for example, monthly or quarterly management accounts, KPI reporting, preparing Board packs, and attending Board and funder meetings.
