Senior Manager - Audit & Accounts

Dave is a senior manager within audit and accounts. He specialises in the preparation of accounts, audits, tax and corporate finance and is always available to answer questions, keeping regular contact with clients and helping them with any accountancy problems which may arise.

Dave is a fierce proponent of recycling and ecological issues in general. In his spare time he enjoys cycling and swimming as well as networking on behalf of the firm.

            

Alastair Drummond

            
Manager - Audit & Accounts

Alastair joined the firm in 1999 straight from university and has worked his way up through the ranks to Manager. His area of expertise lies within Audit & Accounts, tax and charities. As training manager he is also responsible for keeping staff up to date with new legislation and general IT changes.

Alastair loves his sport and relaxes playing 5 a-side football, snowboarding, running and hill walking.

            

Graeme Frew

            
I.T. & Systems

As IT Manager Graeme is responsible for all the technological equipment at the firm taking are of all hardware, software, electrical and computer systems.

Graeme enjoys his work so much he even spends his spare time on IT and playing computer games but manages to mix in a little guitar playing, mountain biking and skiing as well.

            

Gordon Kerr

            
Assistant Manager - Audit & Accounts

As an Assistant Manager Gordon’s expertise lies in general accounts practice, he has a strong knowledge of tax and has a particular interest in the accounts of the medical profession as well as overseeing a portfolio of company groups.

Gordon has been linked with the firm since 1985 and in his spare time enjoys gardening and playing the violin in a local amateur orchestra.

            

Pauline Aitchison

            
Assistant Manager - Audit & Accounts

Pauline joined the firm in 1997 and as an Assistant Manager specialises in larger audits, charity audits, law society inspections and legal audits.

Pauline spends most of her spare time keeping fit and has ran numerous 10k’s for charity as part of the Martin Aitken team. When she’s not pounding the streets you’ll find her cruising on her motor cycle.

            

Pauline Mefford

            
Manager - HR

Pauline originally joined the firm in 1997 after working with the big 4 but after a break, returned in 2006. Pauline enjoys her role as HR manager, keeping 70 staff happy is no mean feat. As Employment Law is constantly changing, she has to constantly keep herself abreast of current legislation for Martin Aitken and clients alike.

Pauline is part of the Martin Aitken running team and also enjoys her Youth Work.

            

Sandra Murdie

            
Office Manager

Sandra joined the company in July 2007. Her background is in a variety of roles within admin and personnel. Sandra has ran her own company and has a wide knowledge of Management and Health & Safety issues. Sandra's role at Martin Aitken is looking after the office management side of things. Sandra's sense of humour is renowned and will add to the existing happy environment we work in.
