Jim is one of our longest serving employees and has been with the firm since 1979, an associate since 2004. As well as handling a wide portfolio of general practice clients, Jim heads up the processing and payroll department dealing with all our bookkeeping and processing work.

As an officer with the Boys Brigade and father of two, Jim keeps active in his spare time by cycling, hill walking and is a passionate rugby supporter.

A qualified Scottish CA, Richard is a very experienced tax professional specialising in all forms of taxation from personal tax returns to income and corporation tax matters for business clients. He also offers proactive tax and estate planning advice in conjunction with the firm’s Financial Services specialists.

Away from work you’ll find Richard in the garden studying the history of plant exploration and tending to his plants from the Himalayas.

Ian joined the firm in 2003 as a Financial Services Manager, he has over 17 years experience within the financial services industry and specialises in financial planning advice, general practice, pension advice and planning, pre and post retirement advice.

Ian loves spending time with his partner and two children and enjoys gardening, walking, swimming and golf.

Larry joined MACo in 2005 having been with Wm Lockhart & Co since 1987.

He therefore has a long connection with some of Martin Aitken clients. As of 1 April 2007, Larry took up the position of Consultant.

When he’s not working Larry likes to play bridge and golf and enjoys travelling.
